The Nine Muses Hotel is a modern, Cycladic holiday complex sited overlooking the black beach in Perivolos, two kilometres from Perissa Town. This two storey hotel features 77 guestrooms, all of which include traditional, white, Aegean decor with modern furnishings and cool tiled floors. All rooms are equipped with cable television, work desks with dial up Internet connections, radios, direct dial phones and refrigerators. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations and hair dryers.
The hotel's Therpsichore restaurant offers Greek and international fare served in a traditional white dining room with cool tiled floors. The Taverna serves traditional Greek fare and an array of wines on a shaded terrace beside the pool, and snacks and drinks are served in the relaxed setting of the Erato bar. The main outdoor pool is flanked by a separate spa tub and terraces equipped with sunbeds and parasols. Guests can play tennis or work out in the fitness centre, then relax tired muscles in the sauna and jetted tub or indulge in an expert massage (on request). In the evening, guests can unwind with a drink in the lounge, which is lit by chandeliers and features oriental rugs and antique furnishings. Gifts and souvenirs can be purchased in the hotel shop and laptops can be connected to the Internet. Multilingual staff at the 24 hour front desk can exchange currency, and a porter is on hand to assist with luggage. The islands of Santorini surround a 32 square mile volcanic crater, formed during a Bronze Age eruption. Visitors can take in views of the crater, from atop 300 metre cliffs, eight kilometres from the hotel. Santorini Airport is 16 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.
